Portable Appliance Testing or 'PAT Testing' makes sure your electrical equipment is safe. All work we carry out is to the industry standard 'Code of Practice for the In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment'.

The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 makes it your responsibility to ensure all of your electrical equipment is safe and compliant.

Who We Work With

Safeguarding is a huge watchword these days. Our engineers are all DBS checked and signed up to the update system. This means customers can see in real time the current status of our engineers.

As an industry there is no requirement to, but we retrain our engineers every 3 years. Time and again we have come in to test after other companies only to identify they have applied outdated standards in their work.

We will not leave the site until you agree we are finished.

When attending repeat customers sites engineers always carry the previous results report for referral.

To help you meet your compliance targets we do ask about access to locked cupboards and outbuildings.

SETS actively try and maintain the same engineer for your repeat testing and achieve this in most cases.

About SETS

In conducting your PAT Testing we visually inspect your electrical sockets for signs of damage or overheating.

Copy reports are available free of charge by email on request. We hold your past reports securely in the cloud for a minimum of 5 years.

Customer specific RAMS. The environments in which we test are as varied as our customers, and so on request we supply tailored risk assessments and methods of working to suit your situations.
